USB data cable for PC transfer (Excel) PROTESTER 5000-01

Purpose
The cable is designed for direct data transfer from PROTESTER digital measuring instruments to a computer running MS Excel (version 2003 or newer). An ideal solution for fast data recording and analysis.

Set components
The cable consists of two parts:

1. 2 m USB cable

2. integrated control module with three buttons

Button functions:

• DATA – sends a single measurement reading to Excel in manual mode.

• ZERO – resets the reading on the measuring instrument.

• In/mm… Auto – short press switches between measurement units (mm/inch); long press (3 s, 5 s, 7 s, 9 s) activates automatic data transfer 8, 4, 2 or 1 time per second. Holding for 11 s enables manual mode.

Operation:

1. Connect the micro-USB plug to the PROTESTER device and the USB-A end to the computer port.

2. Open a ready Excel sheet or a blank table.

3. Select the operating mode using the In/mm… Auto button or send individual readings with the DATA button.

4. Measurements are automatically recorded in consecutive rows of the spreadsheet in real time.
